Crude oil, recirculation system

The control of oil—currently at the center of the greatest and most imminent energy crisis ever faced by the industrialized world—has been intrinsically linked to numerous armed conflicts throughout history. This non-renewable natural resource, often referred to as “black gold,” has proven to be as indispensable as it is harmful in the course of human development. Cry offers a poetic image through the drip of crude oil from a hole in the center of a wall down to a slot in the floor, where it is recycled to be poured out cyclically.
